  • Personal care (showering/bathing, dressing, continence care etc.)
  • Domestic tasks (laundry, hoovering, washing up, general tidying etc.)
  • Cooking or preparing meals
  • Shopping
  • Medication
  • Companionship

As a Senior Care Assistant, we also offer the opportunity to gain skills in other areas and these tasks may include:

  • Providing shadowing for new starters
  • Supervisions
  • Risk assessments
  • Supporting the office team

Please note: Due to the nature of the role, you will need transport to be able to get between the clients’ homes, so a car is essential for this role. We provide a daily petrol allowance to support with this.

All Senior Care Assistants will be given a comprehensive induction training programme before starting their role at the Private Care Company. Induction includes all mandatory training, plus a refresher on the practical skills required. Fully funded Health & Social Care Diplomas are also available for anyone wishing to progress further or enhance their skill set.
