Part-time Care Assistant

We have a variety of morning and evening shifts available for people that are looking for part-time work.

Evenings – Salary from £70/shift plus 25p/mile petrol allowance

Shift 1: Sun to Wed 6pm-11pm
Shift 2: Wed to Sat 6pm-11pm
Shift 3: Sun to Tue 6pm-11pm
Shift 4: Thurs to Sat 6pm-11pm

Mornings – Salary from £80.70/shift plus 25p/mile petrol allowance

Shift 1: Sun to Wed 7am-1pm*
Shift 2: Wed to Sat 7am-1pm*
Shift 3: Sun to Tue 7am-1pm*
Shift 4: Thurs to Sat 7am-1pm*

Role and Responsibilities

As a part-time care assitant you will be supporting our clients to live an independent life in their own homes by visiting them during the day and providing help with day-to-day tasks that may include:

Personal care (showering/bathing, dressing, continence care etc.)
Domestic tasks (laundry, hoovering, washing up, general tidying etc.)
Cooking or preparing meals
Shopping
Medication
Companionship

Please Note:

Due to the nature of the role, you will need transport to be able to get between the clients’ homes so a car or bike would be perfect. We provide a daily petrol allowance and have bike to work schemes available to support with this, see the ‘Rewards & Benefits’ page for more information.

How we support Part-time Care Assistants

If you join our team at The Private Care Company you will be provided with a comprehensive induction training programme before you start your role with us. This means that even if you are new to care work, we will give you all the essentials you need to feel confident in your new role. If you are looking for career progression or to enhance your skill set we can also offer fully funded Health & Social Care Diplomas.

All Part-time Care Assistants will also have access to the client’s Care Plan via an app that is downloaded onto your phone. You will use this app to make notes after each visit. We believe that consistency between client and carer is key. Therefore, we will always try to place you onto a set route whereby you visit the same clients on each of your working days. This will enable you to really get to know each other. We structure your routes in such a way as to let you spend more time caring and less time travelling.
