Health & Wellbeing

The wellbeing of our Care Assistants and clients is our number one priority and we believe that the best carers are those that also take care of themselves. We offer working patterns that help to provide a great work-life balance, so that your time at work does not impact on your personal life.

Cycling to work is a great way of keeping fit and active, as well as being better for the environment. We offer two different cycle to work schemes that help staff to travel around the city for work. These include being able to hire bikes free of charge during working hours or help and discounts on buying your own bike.

Looking after vulnerable people and being responsible for their wellbeing and safety can be challenging and we understand this. All our managers are available for confidential discussions on any issue which is causing you concern and you can contact them directly to arrange a meeting.

We also provide our team and their family with access to a free counselling helpline with qualified counsellors. These conversations are entirely confidential and the service can be used at any time throughout your employment.

Within the first 12 weeks of working with us, we will support you to complete The Care Certificate which is nationally recognised within the adult social care sector. We offer a £150 training incentive payment on successful completion of The Care Certificate.
We also offer fully funded Level 3 and Level 5 Health & Social Care Diplomas for anyone that wishes to progress to a more senior role and develop their career even further.

Recognition

We believe that it is important to recognise our team for the outstanding contributions they make to our clients’ lives every day. We invite our colleagues and clients to tell us when they have seen someone demonstrating our company values and going above and beyond to provide exceptional care. These team members are then put forward to be our Carer of the Month and can win wellbeing vouchers to enable them to spend some time on self-care.

We also offer a Recommend a Friend incentive scheme where a £50 payment will be made to you if you successfully introduce a new team member.
