We can help with your shopping

Our aim at The Private Care Company has always been to keep our clients as independent as possible for as long as possible. While many of our clients have enjoyed doing their shopping on their own or as part of an outing with one of our carers – unfortunately, because of coronavirus and the government’s advice for ‘at risk’ people to stay home, they are unable to go out and get the things they need.

With this in mind, we are currently offering additional help with shopping for our current clients.

Many of the supermarkets have set aside special time slots for key workers – which includes care staff – to ensure they can get supplies. Additionally, we are pleased to note that our staff will be protected by the social distancing rules most supermarkets currently have in place.

Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, M&S, The Co-op, Lidl and Waitrose have all introduced new measures which (for most of them) include:

  • Floor markings so customers know how far apart to stand from each other
  • Screens at checkouts
  • Restrictions on the number of people in the store
  • Extra hand sanitiser and cleaning products for trolleys
  • Encouragement of cashless payments

Please get in touch if you’d like us to help.
