A Bright(on) cheery Christmas

Our lovely charity Christmas cards have just arrived which were purchased to help support the MS Trust. They were specially created by Syd Hausmann who is raising money for them after her partner was diagnosed with the condition. And although she made these specifically for us, she also made some bright and cheery cards that you can purchase here.

Multiple sclerosis affects nerves in the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of symptoms including problems with muscle movement, balance and vision. It is estimated there are currently around 100,000 people with MS in the UK.

The MS Trust is a small organisation with an enormous job to do. As well as providing free information to anyone affected by MS, the MS Trust is also in contact with over 6,000 health professionals who look to them for information, education and support. Their information service is provided free of charge and, whilst their books and information are distributed widely by the NHS, the MS Trust does not receive any government funding towards this service.

They also fund research focusing on three key areas including: improving services, improving treatments and improving support. Additionally, they campaign at both local and strategic levels to ensure the NHS is planning adequate services for people with MS.

As we have several clients here at The Private Care Company with MS, we are proud to be supporting this charity this Christmas!
